I was born and raised in Dover, DE. where I developed my love for building while watching This Old House with my father every Sunday morning. I was fascinated by watching Bob Villa, Norm Abram, and Tom Silva and thought “I wish I could be them.” Their attention to impeccable detail was impressive. I knew their skillset took years to develop. My first teacher was my father. As a little girl I watched him closely. My father was eager to help me participate in various projects. I learned that it was important to “measure twice and cut once.” He taught me that if I had the desire and was willing to work hard enough, I’d be able to succeed. Even though there were no female role models involved in my “hoped for” career field, I knew what I wanted to do.
After graduating from Caesar Rodney High School, I left my hometown to attend Marymount University in Arlington, VA and majored in Interior Design. There I would work for several well-known architects and interior designers in both Washington DC and McLean, VA. This is where I acquired valuable skills such as drafting, design, and planning. I accrued over a decade of design, home repair, and remodeling experience. After being a stay-at-home mom for nearly ten years, I knew I’d go into business doing what I love to do. I’ve encountered such demand for a woman contractor with ‘know how’, and who appreciates that details really do matter.
JUST A BIT OF WHAT I DO
I provide a free comprehensive proposal for all potential clients. We provide complete design services, bathroom, kitchen, basement remodeling, additions and all size projects.
For me, seeing the smile on your face as you look upon your new beautiful and safe projects is rewarding and gratifying. My goal is to redefine industry standards and exceed your expectations.
CAN YOU RELATE?
As a female decision maker, I know the importance of selecting a contractor or skilled laborer. Are they going to see my vision and can they produce it? Are they really going to listen me? Are they going to provide the service that they promised? Will they be trust worthy and respectful of my time and home? Will they provide me with my options? Most importantly, as a mother, will my children and I feel safe while they’re in my home? These details always matter to me, as I’m sure they do with you.
